Pandit JASRAJ Live in Concert on June 12, 2016 in Pleasanton, CA : Sanskriti, a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit cultural organization, will host two legendary Indian Classical musicians - Pandit JASRAJ (vocal) and t abla maestro Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri as part of its Music Festival 2016.
Pandit JASRAJ is known for his melliflous voice and fabulous range. He is not a mere classical vocalist. Thumri exponent Girija Devi rightfully says - "Musicians like Jasraj are one of a kind. His perfomances take you into a different world, one where God exists. "
It is also no exaggeration that when Pandit Jasraj ji is accompanied by Tabla Maestro Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, the doyen of Tabla, the whole performance takes a magical height. We are equally happy that Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri is also able to join in our music festival. Pandit Swapan-ji is undoubtedly considered one of the greatest living musicians and tabla virtuosos of our time.
Pandit Jasraj will also be accompanied by Padmashree honored Pta. Tripti Mukherjee on vocal support and Pt. Suman Ghosh on Harmonium.
