SF Mindfulness Course for Teens

SF Mindfulness Course for Teens on March 19, 2017 in San Francisco, CA : The UCSF Center for Integrative Medicine is very excited to announce our upcoming mindfulness class series open to all teens in San Francisco.
Mindfulness can have a large positive impact on teens by reducing anxiety and symptoms of stress, improving mood, concentration and attentional skills, as well as enhancing self-confidence, coping, relationship skills and sense of wellbeing.
Our program is specifically designed to train teenagers in the practice of mindfulness by incorporating age-appropriate variations on traditional practices with play, movement and group interaction.
Quotes from past participants:
* "People have always told me about doing mindfulness, but I felt like it wasn't going to help until I joined the class... Nothing else has helped me to have this peace and calm that I have now."
* "I've been able to have self-love, which is something I have never in my whole life been able to do."
This 8-week programs starts March 19th and we welcome teens between the ages of 15-19 years old (14 years old with the consent of the instructor).
Registration is now available at http://www.osher.ucsf.edu/classes-and-lectures/mindfulness-for-teens/.
