This intriguing dialogue/reunion between the two counterculture giants, narrated by Robert Redford, brings to the fore just how influential they both were in their prime and how they stayed vital to our inner explorations to the last days of Leary's life and the critical period before Ram Dass suffered a life-altering stroke.
DYING TO KNOW: Ram Dass & Timothy Leary captures them in intimate and entertaining conversation about a lifetime of friendship, work, death and the psychedelic explorations that began it all. It would be their last time ever filmed together. Now in release after 20 years in the making, the feature documentary incorporates 80 years of rare footage and never before seen interviews of Leary and Ram Dass.
Producer/director Gay Dillingham will be on hand to relate how she convinced the two--who changed our lives and shaped a generation--to unite to rekindle their bromance before the cameras, reminisce about the past and explore the last frontier of temporal life. Hosted events throughout the week will feature the entire team of filmmakers and other luminaries. Many of those guests will contribute to dialogues on death, dying and consciousness.
