"APRIL ART" Poetry & Music on April 10, 2016 in San Francisco, CA : “April Art” Story of first woman Poetress & Re-imagines Vintage and original rock n pop concert with TONY & JENN
Includes a slideshow and round table discussion of the poetry and illuminated manuscripts of Christine de Pizan. Christine de Pizan, who lived in the late Middle Ages (c 1365-1430), was born of Italian parents but brought up at the French Court in the late 14thc. Her story is unique. A combination of life's vicissitudes and her own talents and determination led her to become the first woman to earn her living by her pen. MARY LANDOR, art historian, will present a short bio and then read some excerpts of her writing with relevant illuminations accompanying the excerpts.
After a brief intermission Join us for a concert with
